PPCC IDOL II
Got what it takes to be a star? A pop icon? An idol? You can win the PPCC Idol II contest and be on your way to fame, fortune, and a corny TV movie about your rise from modest beginnings to stratospheric heights. Actually, this PPCC Idol is not affiliated with the American Idol television program, but Megan Boyle, coordinator of Student Activities said, “The winners from last year’s PPCC Idol were just as terrific.”

Students, faculty and staff can register between Monday, Oct 10 through Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the Centennial Campus Student Life Office counter and choose two songs to sing from the Starbuilders Karaoke playlist of 6,000 songs. Registrants will be instructed to complete the contestant contract and go home and practice. Family and friends are welcome to cheer for all participants from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. in the Centennial Campus Theater.

The PPCC Idol will be selected by several judges, some with musical knowledge and others with no musical expertise, but all have lots of spirit and humor. The winner of the PPCC Idol II contest will win prizes and receive a free copy of the contest plus bragging rights to beat the band for the next year.

Years from now, don’t regret that you did not compete in this contest. Remember: most of us grow to lament the things we did not do, not what we did. For more information contact Megan Boyle at 540-7106.
