The New College Student
College was once the passage to adulthood. After high school graduation, many chose to continue their education; however, today society has a slightly different outlook in regards to attending college. In 1989 12.7 million undergraduate students were enrolled in a United States post secondary institution, by 1999 the number increased 29.9 percent to 16.5 million students. Growing Old With Grace and a Red Hat
Recently I found myself with two friends browsing through a cheap accessory shop. We have run out of letters of the alphabet, so the last few storms were named after Greek letters--bringing us to Epsilon, which is not expected to hit land. The previous record of 21 named storms was set in 1933. Colleen's article reminds us that life remains in the survival mode for many of the victims of hurricane Ivan, which "hit home" in Florida more than a year ago.....More

Questionable Ethics in Corporate America
There is a carnivore that is raging through the cities and towns of America, and now it has begun devouring China as well. What is this beast, you ask? Wal-Mart. So many people love Wal-Mart for its low prices, great deals, and for its “one-stop shopping” experience. I don’t. Of course, this may be because I worked for Wal-Mart for almost two years.....More
