This Morning Brought To You By Coffee
Soon after the morning sun breaks through the horizon, tired PPCC students slowly begin to file inside. Many of these morning students look forward to getting their hands on a magical potion to shake them from their groggy state; the magical potion known as coffee.

Throughout the college numerous students can be seen carrying a steaming cup of coffee. Whether they’re not a morning person or just didn’t get enough sleep varies. One thing they have in common is the demand for coffee...more
Life with Autism
When my son, Xander, was 15 months old, my husband and I noticed that he didn’t “have” words yet. On occasion he would stand isolated and say his ABCs and 123s, but never at our request. When we’d try to interact with him or encourage him, he would stop using his voice. As a baby, he didn’t babble or gesture by pointing or waving. We went to our pediatrician, who wanted to take a “wait and see” approach until his next appointment at 18 months. Unfortunately, our pediatrician was deceased before our next appointment...more

The reason most people do not develop a tan in just one day is because it takes time to produce the melanin...more
Ecstasy Drugs; A Problem on the Rise?

The narcotic known as ecstasy was first introduced in the early 80’s, being made illegal in the states by 1985. However, the popularity of the drug only grew. Parties known as “Raves” came into existence, where a lot of people got together and would “roll” the drugs and listen to entrancing music, look at trippy lights, and dance all night. These parties were even made illegal for the fact that they were “drug” parties, but the underground Raves that cops did not find out about remained...more

Playgrounds are Being Defaced by Vandals
The graffiti covering some local parks and playgrounds may have parents worried due to some very explicit content. Not only is there nudity and profanity displayed on playground equipment, but there is an extensive array at times on the local skate parks.
