2006 Spring Allocation Cycle
1. Budget Hearing Committee established by Student Government.
Committee consists of 5 members: SG President and Treasurer, one additional SG representative, 2 students at large. The committee is advised by the SG advisor (Director of Student Life).
2. All recognized student clubs and organizations receive notification of budget cycle, parameters, and timeline. (March)
3. Clubs and organizations must submit budget requests in writing to the Student Life office. (early April)
4. Budget Hearing Committee hears all requests. Each club/organization student leader(s) and/or advisor present their budget requests to the BHC. (early April)
5. Budget Hearing Committee deliberates and makes its recommendation for funding allocations for the coming Fiscal Year. (mid-April)
6. BHC recommendation goes to Student Government for its input. (mid-April)
7. Allocation recommendations go from Student Government Advisor via memo to VP of Student Services and the College President for approval. (late April)
8. Allocations approved, message via memo back to SG Advisor and SG. SG President notifies all clubs/organizations of their funding levels. (early May)
9. Summer funds transferred to relevant clubs/organizations (early July).
10. Fall funds transferred to clubs/organizations (early September).
11. Spring funds transferred to clubs/organizations (early February).
12. Cycle repeated.
